Mahi-Mahi
Mahi-Mahi, also known as dolphin or dorado first begin to show up in our
waters in the Gulf Stream in late March and early April and move inward from
there with good catches continuing as late as October. A light, white meat,
Mahi is regarded as one of the best fish for the table. These fish are most
often caught while trolling ballyhoo with various types of skirts. The sizes
of fish range from peanut dolphin of less than 5 pounds all the way up to
bull dolphin which can be in excess of 40 pounds.
